ChildWorks operates under the premise that not one approach
works well for every child. ChildWorks offers both traditional and
Sensory Integration approaches to therapy. Six individual therapy
rooms allow for work in a quieter environment. A multi-purpose room
containing a large table and several chairs, a circle time area and a
computer station allows for group activities along with computer
based learning. Our gym, with it’s motivating and therapeutic
equipment, provides opportunities for work on a wide variety of OT,
PT and Speech skills.

Comprehensive Evaluations
ChildWorks offers comprehensive Evaluations for speech,
occupational and physical therapy.
Speech Therapy
Speech language pathologists assess language, cognitive-
communication, swallowing skills and auditory processing. Adequate
speech and language abilities are necessary in order for children to
learn, communicate , and participate with others in play. They
determine what types of communication problems exist and the best
way to address challenges and develop optimal communication
skills tailored to the child's specific needs.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists use purposeful activities to assist children
who are having difficulty participating in the normal "occupations" of
childhood—play, self-care, social skills and learning. Occupational
therapists assess and treat sensory processing abilities, self care, oral
motor , visual perceptual, visual motor, fine motor, gross motor, play
and psycho-social abilities.
Physical Therapy
Our pediatric physical therapists have expertise in evaluating and
treating issues related to the musculoskeletal system and
neuromuscular systems. Physical therapists help children perform gross
motor skills, teach coordination and help develop motor planning
abilities. They are primarily concerned with evaluating children for
movement disorders, balance issues, gross motor skills, muscle strength
and endurance.
Social Skills Groups
We offer social skills groups for children of all ages. Our programs are
designed for the child with pragmatic language difficulties.
Pragmatic language difficulties include trouble with: self- regulating,
problem solving, using and interpreting non-verbal cues, and
conversations with peers. This group is run by a speech- language
pathologist. They help facilitate the participant’s interaction with
peers, improve their verbal problem solving abilities, improve their
ability to initiate and maintain topics of conversation.

Enrichment Programs
ChildWorks offers many different enrichment programs. We offer Play
Move and Mingle classes, Mommy/Daddy and me Therapy, summer
enrichment classes, programming over school vacations and more!
