FREE Speech and Language Screenings

ChildWorks offers free speech and language screenings. The
purpose of the screening is identify children who have or
may be at risk for speech, language and/or learning
difficulties.
You and your child will meet privately with a licensed therapist who
will spend some time with you and your child. You will have the
opportunity to share information regarding your child's skills, ask any
questions you have and gain some understanding of your child's
basic strengths and areas of need, if any. At the conclusion of the
screening you will be provided with the therapist's clinical impressions
and recommendations. This services is offered at NO COST to families.

Our FREE Screening Road Show is available to come to your school or
organization! We have visited schools, physician's offices, parent
groups and other organizations.
How does this unique program work?
We provide you with:
-Information to share with families on the screenings.
-Permission slips and brief questionnaires for the parents to complete
prior to the screening.
-Posters to hang up with information about the upcoming screenings.
How do the parents receive their child's screening results?
The parents will receive, in writing their child's screening results. In
addition, parents will receive a follow-up phone call by the therapist
to review the screening in detail. They will have the opportunity to
ask any questions they may have.
