Our Learn it! Make It! Take It! workshops are hands-on learning experiences designed to assist educational
professionals and caregivers in creating visual support strategies that will be helpful in interacting and working
with children of all needs. Visual support strategies help to increase a child's receptive and expressive language
abilities, attending skills, social language skills, transitioning abilities and will also help to improve behaviors and
other skills, as well.
Each workshop will begin with an informational session. The second part of the workshop will consist of actually
creating materials based on that workshop's particular theme (i.e., picture schedules, the school-home
connection, adapted songs, books, games and activities). Most materials will be provided for the participants
including picture icons, Velcro, paper and stickers to create the projects.

Participants will: Learn what learning supports are and the benefits of using them. Each participant will create
materials that they can use at school or home with children of varying needs.
