General Information about our Conferences
Targeted Audience
Our conferences are designed for parents and professionals alike. If you are a
parent who is looking to learn more about your child's disability, a teacher
wanting to learn how to best meet the needs of your student or a physician
looking to increase your knowledge base to help your patients, our
conferences are for you.
Topics
ChildWorks has a wide variety of topics that we present on. Some of the areas
we cover include:
Developmental milestones for speech and language
Developmental milestones for occupational therapy
Stimulating speech/language development
Signs that a child may have or be at risk for language and learning difficulties
Teaching children to learn through play
Helping children improve their fine motor skills
Sensory Integration
Make it, Take it workshops
Peer mentoring
Professional Development Hours
If you are an educator in the state of NJ you are required to earn Professional
Development Hours. Participants in our conferences will earn Professional
Development Hours.
Certificate of Attendance
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the conclusion of the
conference.

| Making Books Come Alive! A Literacy Based Make n' Take Workshop Participants will learn about and then create teaching aids to help engage children in literacy based activities. Each participant will create FIVE fun filled learning activities based off of well know children's books. We supply the materials, you create projects and take them home to use the very next day!
